Apple releases new iPods

On September 8th, Apple released new 20 and 40 GB iPods replacing the 15 and 30 GB iPods. The new 40 GB iPods packs a whopping claimed 10,000 songs, the 20 GB packs around 2,500. The update also brings a new iPod advertising campaign that features silhouettes of people using iPods on different colored backgrounds. Beyond this, the new iPods do not bring many more features than the last 3rd generation iPods (see our review of Apple's 3rd Gen. iPods and iTunes 4).
