Stage Three: The review

Next in our in-depth review of Apple's new iSight and iChat AV Software (BETA) we take a look (yes, we have pictures of the installation too!) at the installation or as we call it, the putting together of the iSight product. The first thing we did in our installation was have a look at the parts.

It may look little, but this prong is key in attaching the iSight to the stand of your choosing.

Next, after examining the prong and the instruction manual we realized that we had to pull apart the two pieces so that we could string a Firewire between the two and then reattach the two pieces of the prong.

Viola! The Firewire plug fits right between the two pieces of the prong.

Our PowerBook G4 gets ready to start teleconferencing using it's new buddy iSight. Note: The screensaver shown on the computer is one of our favorites, it is called Red Pill and brings the awesome movie we know and love to our Mac. Click here to get it

The Firewire cord is attached to the stand we will use to attach the iSight to our TiBook.

Next, we got ready for the next to final step, the attaching of the iSight camera!

The iSight is attached! Next we plug-in the Firewire cord!

The Firewire cord is attached.

Next, we quickly open iChat AV (Note: We had the program already installed as the iSight product does not come with the iChat program, ugh, there goes a review point!)

And, what, what is going on?!?

Yes! It's alive, as we opened the iChat AV software, the on-air light on the iSight flickered to a bright green! We feel the urge to communicate using our fancy dancy aluminum friend!
